the bottler 11,190 Posted October 26, 2016 Yep I know all about that shopping issue! Took me a year to find something to wear as Mother of the Bride for my daughter 5 years ago.... I was giving her away and my outfit had to be pretty good..... Finally found 2 outfits that I couldn't decide between..... Want a shopping accomplice some time soon Bottie???? not sure where else to shop ... when I met my granddaughter her face dropped as I walked towards her without a large carrier bag ... I said do not worry I have an outfit ... when she asked where I pointed to my blouse and black trousers ( my daughter -in-law wants to burn all of them ! ) ... she was not impressed ... I would like a summer weight jacket in a colour other than black or navy ... with a top that goes with it ... I have a pair of Knight and Lee black trousers I have never worn ... in Myers or David Jones I saw a skirt that had large lemons printed all over ... out of curiosity I looked at the price ... ridiculous amount ... and who in heaven's name would wear that ? ... hope I have not offended anyone on PIO who bought one ... M1cha3la 1,154 Posted October 26, 2016 do you have a well trimmed beard ? ... I hate clothes shopping too. I always see people wearing lovely things, but when I go shopping can't find a thing. One thing I do swear by though is a good pair of spanx. Not the most sexy of undergarments but it's amazing how they transform an outfit. Iam sure you will find the perfect outfit soon. I am on the hunt for a dress for a posh dinner dance on NYE so if you want a shopping buddy one of the days then give me a shout, we can go and hate the shops together :laugh: Just smile and wave boys, smile and wave.......... Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 26, 2016 I hate shopping too. I went to target quite often to get cheap tops and socks but that was about it. Its absolute murder trying to get jeans that fit me length wise. The shortest length that isnt petite is still too long and sometimes petite is too short with trainers plus theres not usually much selection or they are more expensive. I hate looking for nice dresses etc because i always feel so fat in them but not managed to diet since ive been back :dull: Next time i go anywhere nice i'll have to wear my dress that i got for my leaving night, was a bit expensive so dont want to wear it just the once
Lindor 3,927 Posted October 26, 2016 it has been for a while ... loving it ... I hope I am not speaking too soon . I looked in the day before and there was was a bit of stirring going on, 3 posters seemed to be missing yesterday. I wonder if that was the difference.... I drink, therefore I dance..... Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 27, 2016 So pleased to see the lovely Bo again!! The lizard must want to join in the gang lol. That reminds me of my time at cape tribulation and there was a sign saying danger crocodiles. 2 seconds later i heard a rustle and noticed a big long tail so i screeched to Jake that there was a croc. Felt a bit stupid when I realised it was just a big lizard

Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 27, 2016 We have a neighbour that has alcohol and mental health problems. Mum found her ill around a week ago and her and the womans daughter had to get a ambulance out. Shes just out of hospital and got her chocolates which was nice but shes never been away from our door asking us to do stuff for her. This has happened before but its been bad today. We're kinda stuck in the middle between wanting to help her when she does genuinely need it but also feel like shes just taking the mick at times and its been annoying today. Not really sure what to say to her though, dont want to be rude to her. She even opened the door and half walked in without knocking first
Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 27, 2016 Reading that again I hope it didnt sound bad. We do want to help her but its just hard. Hopefully she'll settle in a few days. I feel bad about moaning because when shes on the drink again we dont see her as much so i guess its better to know shes sober even if it means shes always at the door

Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 28, 2016 Shes had scares like this before and her daughter said it doesnt make a difference to her stopping going back on the drink. Its a shame.
