Quokka2005 3,236 Posted October 24, 2016 I moaned that i didnt get to see any snakes but im kinda glad now. In the goldfields they told me this stupid man was mucking around with a snake, i think he was drunk. He let the snake bite him a few times (god knows why!) And then went to the hospital thinking he could just get some anti-venom but trhey said it was too late and he died. I thought the men were winding me up till my boss told me too. They had dugites in the first place i worked too down south WA. I like non poisonous snakes like corn snakes etc but the other types are a scary thought! Dom Churchill 2,613 Posted October 25, 2016 .............IKNWC but...........my neighbour is an a*******.............he has decided to cut his trees down and leave them piled up on the dividing fence.... .............not only is this a fire hazard........as he has been told by the rural fire brigade..... ..............but a haven for snakes which feed on the rats around his property piled with junk and the chickens he keeps near the house......... ...............numerous visits by the council have had no affect ................today a brown snake came for a visit..... .................in the twenty odd years I have lived in oz I have never lost a dog..... ..................but today Bo was bitten........she is at the vets..... ..................with a slim chance as she is young but as she is already bleeding we have been told to not expect too much.......we have asked him to try...... ..................it's important to keep rubbish cleared..... ...................branches got rid of ,burnt..... ...................your house clear of anything they can hide under..... ...................something I am obsessive about..... ....................there is ATM snakes about.......be aware.....know your snake..... .....................and that even when you chop the head off its still dangerous..... ......................the 30 cm I took to the vets in a plastic pot was still moving..... That is so ignorant and damn inconsiderate of your name, despite being warned and told, by the Fire Brigade of all people. And now you are suffering the consequences of his actions, or lack of them. Perhaps give him the vets bill as it was his slackness that has caused your poor doggie to be hospitalised. I really hope he pulls through and he is running about the place in no time xxx No one can tell you exactly what you have gotta be You've got to stand your ground and fight to save your life It may be hard but ooh ooh it's the only way Always remembering there ain't no second prize There ain't no second prize

The Pom Queen 5,788 Posted October 25, 2016 About 55 kg?? Have put them under the macadamia tree...For when he can drive:yes: Cheers, Bobj. Wow, you did have a good trip. It's a pain now as they have taken my driving license off me because of a rare heart disease, so I'm not sure when we will get up. Especially as Rob struggles as well. I was hoping to get up before Christmas but not sure. If you are depressed you are living in the past. If you are anxious you are living in the future. Keith and Linda 2,477 Posted October 25, 2016 Appears our friendly Python did not leave us on Sunday, just moved higher up the tree, rightt above our heads, maybe just digesting a meal? Not long after this he/she (not sure how you can tell) did decide to leave us, the noisy miner birds did tell us nit was on the move. the below shows it heading away on the top of neighbours fence. Turns out it was nearer 8ft long:eek: Linda can now safely use the washing line again. Enjoying life in Queensland
the bottler 11,190 Posted October 26, 2016 spending another day looking for an outfit for my granddaughter's wedding ... I loath shopping for clothes ... last shop I went into the shop assistant showed me a horrendous dress saying it was perfect for the grandmother of the bride ... Dame Edna would have loved it ... she then asked what I liked to wear ... pointing to my black trousers ... pale blue blouse and slightly darker blue fleece ... I said " this " ... her face was a picture ... I was laughing as I left the shop ... the plus today is after the torture I am having lunch with my granddaughter ... I will hopefully be able to put her mind at rest that her grandmother will have an appropriate outfit and not the blouse and black trousers I normally wear ... Oh , the pressure ... Have you got W Lane your way? I find they are about the only shop that have clothes that I don't mind wearing for my age here, not boring fuddy duddy clothes. bought a really nice suit from Stitches for my son's wedding, actually felt good in it, which makes a change!! Good luck. Edited October 26, 2016 by ramot

Good luck. are they shops in Perth ? ... I had an enjoyable time in Perth today ... tried on several dresses ... do not like wearing dresses and after today's effort it is unlikely I will ever wear one ... did not do my self confidence one bit of good ... the sight of me in one is seared into my brain forever ... I am tall but a bit cuddly and need to wear something with a seperate top and bottom ... one dress I tried on was a silky number ... alright until I looked in the full length mirror and laughed ... the dress wibbled as my cuddly bits moved ... afterwards I went for a coffee as I was early for my lunch date with my granddaughter ... after I sat down outside the cafe three men sat on the table next to me ... all needing a shower and clean clothes ... one said **** repeatedly ... and another , who although in his 30's had no teeth , sang very loudly until another passing friend joined them ... who proceded to tell them and everyone within a wide area he was " full blood " and he obviously enjoyed using the word ****** ****** as many times as possible ... but my lunch date was lovely ... home now ... having a cuppa and cooling my feet ... a day to remember ...
