Guest51810 11,261 Posted February 15, 2015 If he makes it then I assume his operation will be postphoned. My mum was only just saying earlier about the risks of a 11 hour operation and that years ago he had a little operation and they said something about his lungs. How can one person have so much bad luck I'm scared I'm going to lose my gran. She'll end to having a heartattack

Parley 7,920 Posted February 15, 2015 That's what they said about the slave trade, too. They were wrong. Horse and greyhound racing industries combine the worst of humanity - the exploitation of animals for human greed. You worry me often Skani with some of the things you say. Where is your judgment ? If you think these industries are going to be banned you are living in cloud cuckoo land. These industries will not be banned. What people should do is work with these industries to ensure the animals are treated properly within the industry. If you wait for these to be banned you will be very disappointed as it is not going to happen. Buy a man eat fish. The Day, Teach Man, to lifetime. - Joe Biden. Not sure about horses though - probably not.
JockinTas 2,207 Posted February 15, 2015 (edited) I think your wrong. I reckon dog racing will be banned at some point in my lifetime. Not sure about horses though - probably not. Jumps racing has been banned across most of Australia on the basis of cruelty, but still occurs inVictoria and in South Australia. Parley 7,920 Posted February 15, 2015 I don't like Jumps racing. I would hope that does get phased out. The others will be around indefinitely though. Buy a man eat fish. The Day, Teach Man, to lifetime. - Joe Biden.

Guest51810 11,261 Posted February 15, 2015 Thank you bottler. My mums just home. He's had the symptoms since Thursday or Friday and didn't realise that's what it was. I haven't a clue why! My cousin came to visit him and took one look and said your going straight to hospital.. She's training to be a nurse. I always thought if you had a stroke you would realise. The hospital haven't scanned him and don't even have a ward for him yet. He's lying in a assessment room. Seemed ok though, his speech is slurred but he's talking and was trying to joke with gran. I'm sure he'll be ok, it's just a worry incase they can't do a operation on him. 11 hours was already risky

Guest51810 11,261 Posted February 15, 2015 Wow that's amazing Howard. Glad your ok now though. My grandads had strokes but I think we realised at the time. Hopefully it's only a little one if he's had it since Thursday. Fingers crossed he doesn't have another one. Maybe it's a blessing he had it now instead of on the operating table or afterwards. Yeah parley it's quite young. I think a few of us in the family will be making some lifestyle changes after this! No smoking and I'll be getting my blood pressure lower. We couldn't tell my grandad that it was a stroke incase he had another one too. We just said Thomas had a funny turn. He probably realises tho
