Guest markandmichelle
Hi all Been looking around the house to decide what to ship to Australia or sell before we go. Does anyone know if there is any problems with taking a 3 piece suite or rugs in to Australia. Will they need to be fumigated once we get there or just throughly cleaned before we pack them?? The sofa seats are made from foam and the cushions are polyester hollow fibres. 1 of the rugs is from turkey and 1 from the uk. Any information would be helpful. Thanks for your help Mark
Dawn75
Hi Mark- we have had shippers round recently to do quotes and we are taking our leather suite with us as its in good condition and there was no prob taking that. Ive never heard anyone on here having a prob with settees etc. I would assume rugs ok if cleaned properly, I havent got any so not had to ask them. Their main concern is with dirt, mud etc so as long as everything clean I should think you ll be fine. When you get a shipping company in to quote they know all the rules etc so gives you a better idea- we had a quote a yr before we planned on going so to get an idea on what we should sell etc !
