PommyPaul
i reckon it most likely is, when you're snorkling you're surrounded by the buggers... why don't you tow the boat up there and go for a week around the islands? bet that'd be a blast!! PommyPaul
cheers bob that sounds like a plan, i've not got a date in mind its more when my savings hit a certain level but it'll most likely be around christmas time. I'll be more than happy to repay the favour with a trip out on one of the boats from airlie if you like.

Been out a few times from Airlie and Shute, some beautiful islands out there. Cheers, Bobj.

Guest proud2beaussie
I agree that Tasmania is fabulous but it's a bit too difficult to organise good flights for just a weekend,by the time that you got there you would have lost most of one day,Tasmania really needs at least 5 days, preferably longer, for a long weekend I would recommend this place. Northern Rivers - Mt Warning, Uki pet friendly and gay friendly B&B accommodation, via Murwillumbah New South Wales, Australia. B&B accomodation, family holiday house rental in Australia. Happy Lass
 You poor thing, March is a good while to wait but at least it will still be warm when you can come back. Tasmania is my favourite place in all the world not least because that is where my DH is from. If the Immigration Gods are kind, I can officially call Hobart home at long last

I left our home with log fires burning away at 3.30am yesterday morning (snuggly) said goodbye to our house sitters and arrived back in Karratha at 12.45pm to 41 degrees:mad: sitting here now with the air conditioner on full blast. I know you wont be sorry to call Tasmania home, its truly paradise, roll on your visa:hug:
Happy Lass
Blimey 41 degrees must be quite the system shock after Tassie spring weather. :err: It would be lovely to meet up  Have you read "In Tasmania" by Nicholas Shakespeare? It's an interesting read and it's clear he has a deep love for the state so it's a thoroughly good read for anyone who loves Tas or who is just interested in learning more. I haven't been myself, but am thinking about it so I could do with an unbiased report  kev My old fishing 'grounds' when I lived in NSW. Average fishing during the year with best fishing in winter when the snapper come close inshore to breed. Difficult launching at low tide, as it is hard sand to a shallow channel and rock-bars followed by a tortuous channel for about 200 metres to wait until the ocean swells calm before heading out to sea. (Plenty of very shiney propellor blades due to shallow, sandy ground:yes:) Cheers, Bobj.
