Guest Gollywobbler
Hi there A subclass 176 visa gives immediate PR and with that immediate entitlement to full Medicare and the PBS. You will need to go to a Medicare office soon after arrival in Oz to register and obtain your Medicare cards. More info is here: For Individuals - Medicare Australia With Centrelink, some Benefits are subject to the two year new resident's waiting period - unemployment benefit is subject to the above. However some child-related Benefits are available from Day One whilst you find your feet, I believe. Individuals index Cheers Gill
