Visa Grant Letter - you ripper!

Woke up in middle of the night, thought I'd check the email just in case, and it was there, our visa grant letter has arrived!!!!!:jiggy:

Massive thanks to everyone on PIO, Gollywobbler, Nigel and other moderators, Cartertucker for the WA SS thread, Aldo and entourage for the laughs (and controversy). Your knowledge has been so useful as did not use an agent.

To those affected by rule changes, keep the faith, they'll have to make it easier to get back into Oz soon. Their economy is going to grow and they need us to help. Hope you all get there soon

Cant believe it, so excited now. Wont get back to sleep. A few beers tonight methinks

For those interested, I am on 176 with CSL occupation.

Cheers

Michael

Hi Michael,

Wow, fantastic news!! Congratulations, let the celebrations begin!

Can I just ask a question? My meds were received by HOC yesterday, and today my online status shows 'Health Requirements Finalised' on the front page. Below it still shows further medical results as received, and HIV blood test as received, but for all of us and the kids, the first line, 'Health Requirements' as finalised. Do you remember how long ago you saw that change in status? Just wondering if they are moving really quick on meds just now, as they only received them yesterday!

Anyway, wishing you all the best for your move. When do you plan to go?

Hey = congratulations matey,

I know the feeling of excitement, i am still on cloud nine after yesterdays news of grant. well done to you. where you heading to, i am off to warrnambool in victoria, staying with some friends till i get a job, and get my own place.

The only thing with celebrating is the rotten hangover the next day, god did i suffer, but enjoy.

I cant think straight, and keep worrying about telling my bosses, who have been really good peeps to work for, but they have no idea that I was planning to migrate, as i did not want to tempt fate.

Anyway - well done again and good luck.

Congratulations!!! Know how you feel I got mine granted this morning too! I felt a little drunk when I found out, hadn't had a drop!!!!

Shaz36 I'm sure thats all is does say! If I remember rightly my progress page always said HIV recieved etc and there was just one sentence to say that the medicals had been finalised! I don't think that will change so you shouldn't worry!!!

As for celebrating, let the hangover commence!!!!!!

Hi Shaz,

Cheers. From memory, they acknowledged meds and updated status pretty quickly too. Think my message said the same as yours.

We need to validate by 8 Sept 2010 so plenty time. I've told my boss I'd stay for half year reporting next year then leave so we wont be going till mid Aug I reckon. Really need to have work lined up before we go.

Will keep you up to date with my friend as work. She's just returned meds/pcc and is 175 CSL so hopeful of visa grant soon
