Guest Posted August 13, 2009 Share Posted August 13, 2009 Sorry I can't answer your question but I just wanted to make sure you know that in WA painters have to be licensed. Assuming you are time-served and can provide all the relevant evidence etc. then this can only be a good thing as it keeps cowboys out of the market. There is a lot of building going on still and walls are not automaticaly painted magnolia here the way they are in new builds in the UK - the building companies will paint the walls as an 'extra' so that's be one stream of work but certainly the builder we're using has suggested we get our own painting done as they have to charge a % on top (well I don't suppose they 'have' to but they do!) And home improvement is as big here as it is in the UK. But recession or not there probably isn't as much work as there once was. Jules Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
