LukeM
Ok don't panic! Question 30... on Form 80 (I've just loaded - I posted before, edited now 'cos I've found it!) If you're planning to visit Australia prior to receipt of your visa then this does matter. If that's the case, and you're going just as a tourist, then it's the ETA (aka your holiday visa) you get from your travel agent at a cost of about £10 that you have to worry about here. They're valid for 90 days. So the date it's valid from/to (e.g. If I've got an ETA that's valid for 90 days it's literally going to be 1st January to 2nd April 2009 - just as an example) Basically, you really don't have to worry about these. If you've no intention of going to Australia before you get your visa, just leave it blank. Additional periods of stay won't count for you if you are going on holiday for a reccie or whatever. That's a bit of a confusing question I know Hope that helps! Luke

I had to fill it in. Proposed arrival date I put the date I was going for my reccie Place of arrival - Brisbane Time as authorised on arrival - 21 days (or 90 days) Purpose of journey - well that's obvious why you're going, to get a feel for the place Additional periods is optional if you can put it Proposed address: hotel etc Or if you're not going for a reccie and just going for it, you can just adjust to meet your needs. And purpose absolutely. Additional periods... yep permanent following spouse visa is my guess Are you doing this alone without an agent then?
