Guest Rhubarb
Hi there. I'm a writer currently doing a feature on expats living in Australia. I'm interested in anyone who's moved out there and for whatever reason, it simply isn't working for them. You can keep the piece anonymous if you wish. I'd just like to ask a few questions, get your story and you'll have the final say in the draft before it's published. It's not for mainstream media, just a website company much like this one, which does news and features for expats in Australia. I don't want to advertise so I won't say which one. If you think you'll be interested, please get in touch!

deb8181
I'm having second thoughts and i havent even gone yet!! All this crap about only being able to keep 2 cats or 2 dogs, especially when they are neuteured and microchipped. At the end of the day if you keep them indoors under control and you are not over run what does it matter? All these stories i have heard about poms having to give up their animals to the council to have them re-homed or put down, breaking their hearts in the process. It sounds more like a concentration camp than living the dream!! :arghh:
Guest Rhubarb
Thanks for the quick replies. Waynie I've messaged you if that's ok with my email. Deb, so you haven't gone yet? Are you planning to buy pets out there or take yours with you? I'd also like to do a feature on taking your pets with you to Oz, how difficult is it? Guest Rhubarb
Actually, just read your reply again Waynie and I think we've misunderstood each other! I'd like to hear from people who have moved to Australia, but the life down under isn't working out for them. Perhaps they are considering moving back to the UK. If this is still you, then please get in touch!

Hi no i am wanting to take my five pedigree show cats with me and finding it extremely negative on this front. Been told i can safely take 2 but would need an exemption for any more and it wont necessarily be granted and so it goes on and on and on!!!!!
