I used to live in Robina and found it very hard to make friends down there (to be honest I hated it). I now live on Pacific Pines and it is much better. I often come down to

Robina to shop so if you fancy meeting up PM me and I'll gladly meet you for a coffee and a chat. I am a soft southerner by the way with an 18yr old son (most likely lots older than you but I don't mind if you don't lol)

Hi everyone,

Myself, hubby and 2 girls are flying out 31st August and are staying in Coomera for 2 weeks so we can look around areas. We really like the sound of Coomera/Upper Coomera and the house rental prices look good. Any opinions would be great.

Thanks

Hi Ange

It all depends on budget and what kind of life you want. Coomera/Upper Coomera have some really nice houses and shops etc. We live in Coomera Waters as we wanted it quiet and safe which is what we have, house with a pool, lovely people around etc.

We drove round Upper Coomera and Coomera and also liked the areas although the Village Shops in Coomera left us disappointed, which is why we looked elsewhere.

Commuting is not too bad also as Coomera Train Station is only around the corner.

Have a drive around Coomera Waters and see what you think, there is a man made beach, marina, bar and conveneience store, its beautiful.

Also, everywhere looks great on the net, nothing like driving round as when we did, we struck off half of the places we thought we wanted to move to straight away. For my two penneth, the areas I liked were Coomera Waters, Paradise Point, Sanctuary Cover, Hope Island, Runaway Bay and Robina although the commute would be too much.

Regards

Sean

Hiya all, does anyone fancy taking some action on our loneliness? How about we arrange to meet somewhere that is not to far for all of us, maybe in a bbq area where the kids can run around and we can bring some food and have a chat on a weekend that suits????

Coolangatta is stunning, went there again today, makes you realise why you have moved from the UK.

The local Tavern has got better in the last couple of weeks since it got new owners, weve not done the meat raffle lol normally go down on a Friday night for the live music. Hi Anna,

That sounds good, having a get together on the weekend and getting the other halfs involved as well. I cant do this weekend as its my sons birthday but next weekend should be good, if thats ok with everyone. Paradise point has a lovely beach area, park for the kids to run around in and bbqs. Or does anyone else have any suggestions??

Hi all.

new to the Gold Coast - Pac Pines at the moment and would love to be involved in a get together of some kind? Have one child - teenager (17) who's having a bit of a struggle with it all at the moment, and it's kind of starting to wear me down a bit, thoughI've done what i can to help him.

So would love to get together and have a natter with some people who are local to me :-)

Cheers

Tracey
