Anyone who is still waiting for their visa?

Hello Mitho, we were granted our 309 in December 2020. Now waiting for our 100. But it seems like it could take another 12 months from now by the stats on the timeframes.

How is your VISA process going, which visa are you waiting for and how long?

75% of VISAs are done in 17 months, the remaining ones could take a lot longer.

We have a daughter here in Australia now, plus waiting to buy our house.

Did an update in December and will do another update in April.

Also, we need to apply for our Police checks again, because the timeframe is running out for our existing police checks, they are only relevant for 12 months.

Hi

is anyone know why the department is taking so much time for 100 visa?

I had heard they were concentrating on getting more people into the country rather than processing people that are already here.

Currently preparing our June update now. It's been 14 months. 🙂 Still under the expected time, but I hope they get ours done before December! 🙂

When I seen you had commented, I had thought you had been given an approval. Fingers crossed we're not waiting too much longer!

Hey guys,

A quick question regarding Stamp duty. We are planning to get a property in QLD. My wife is still on Visa 309. I read somewhere that they consider it as a 'permanent visa' and thus she will not pay an additional duty for being a 'foreigner'. Can you please guide me to an official document or website that states this? I found one from Revenue NSW, but none for QLD.

I am working on updating our documents. My fingers are crossed for you all 🙂
