MTS
Hello Guys, I have a question regarding my visa application. In the SPONSOR section of immi account, I can see that the sponsor application status has been changed to 'APPROVED' and we can not attach any further documents. Is it an indication that partner visa will be granted soon? Please let me know. Thanks.

Many people wait until asked by their CO so that they avoid the possibility of having to redo them or having a very short Initial Entry Date. What if the sponsor lived in another country, got police certificate from there and has not visited this country after the certificate has been issued? Does the certificate have "expiry" date? Realistically, if you have not visited the country , there is no way that you can commit a crime and the last certificate should not have expiry date. Asking because we had to get one from Canada and the process is really painful, with the fingerprints and consent forms they ask for when applying outside of Canada. saleemk
hey all mates ! hope everyone is fine and is a smooth sailing for all prospective visa holders I tried to find the document check list for 309/100 for Pakistani spouse , can anyone please help me with the checklist? Also is Nikah only (no Rukhsati) enough? Like a proper Nikah ceremony with pictures/gifts exchange etc and Nikah Nama (Nadra/UC etc etc) , phone logs , financial assistance to wife would suffice? Regards
Andy_
VFS Global in Pakistan provides a checklist at: http://www.vfsglobal.com/Australia/Pakistan/family_partner.html Go to the "Documents Required" tab. Use this list in conjunction to the official one available on the HomeAffairs.gov.au website. Re: Nikkah being enough, I don't think there is a 100% clear verdict on this. The popular opinion currently seems to be that Nikkah is not enough as it does not satisfy the requirements of a full marital relationship. On the other hand, there are people who have had successful visa grants only on Nikkah. Best would be to get advice from a registered migration agent on this. I have seen people lying on their forms to say they have had Rukhsati done while they had only had a Nikkah. Some people might get away with it but DIBP is getting very strict on this and is verifying this information through other sources if they doubt this claim. Whatever you do, please do not lie on your application about this. If you're caught, consequences will be dire.
