Had email on Tuesday from agent saying we would hear this week, guess what nothing! Think I've got more chance hearing the pope brake wind than hearing from QLD gov..

Still no news here either, it'll be 7 weeks since email this week!!

Should I be getting my meds done and front load them, or will it jink my SS..????

Last time I started to arrange them we got dropped of the CSL...

 

Also can anyone tell if qld confirm there SS by email or snailmail (we got the ack by email)

I have been thinking exactly the same as you...

 

Do we... Dont we get our meds sorted...? But, like you, we dont want to jinks our application either. I was even going to email my agent later to see what he thought about it!

 

I did read somewhere a thread that had said that if you dont have your meds and PC checks frontloaded by the time the CO is assigned to you at the DIAC then they dont look at your file again for 28 days bla bla bla... cant really remember exactly what was said (it was somewhere on this site though) which is why I have been thinking about it too. Although I don't know how true that is!

 

It appears that QLD have gone really quiet and no one seems to be hearing anything from them lately... time will tell in the next few weeks or so when some of the 8-10 weeks are up! I'm getting a bad gut feeling though that something is going to happen to put us back to square one again!

 

So, I think we will wait a little longer before getting our meds done. When I email my agent, when he gets back to me I will let you know what he says!

 

Fingers crossed it wont be much longer now hey!

I can imagine how you are feeling, I know how frustrated we are of waiting and we are a few weeks behind you!

 

Lets see if they keep to their email of 8-10 weeks. Fingers crossed you will hear something in the next two weeks. I do hope so!

Where did you hear that from? I do hope not...

 

I was under the impression that it would take 8 - 10wks to get a decision from QLD for the SS and then about a week or two for them to inform the DIAC and then the DIAC should allocate you a Case Officer within 10 days... and if you have all your documents ready it should be quite quick!

 

I do hope they have not changed that... I would be interested to know where you got your info from...

To everyone who is listed on this page...

 

If you check out the first page to this thread I have changed the information on there. I have now edited the first page which i will keep updated with all your info. I think it is easier to have everyone listed on the first page rather than trawling through all the different pages to see where everyone is at. I think this might work better, especially when we start adding in the dates when we all get our state sponsorship!!! :yes:

Must say, so far I would highly recommend Interparcel (using DHL documents only) . Booked online just before midday and the envelope was collected just after 2pm, cost £20 for up to 1kg.

Dont worry, we are the same as you and had the old form. I am sure they will ask if they want any further information, I dont think it will go against us. I emailed them ages ago, before I knew they had changed the form to ask if they wanted a copy of my hubbys AQF qualification. They just said that if they needed any further info they would let us know when someone looks at our file.

hi my agent said it could take 6 to 9 mts to get visa through now as their are loads of 176 ss getting lodged. i hop not too im not listening tpo that. how long should it be from start to finish for 176 then? good luck

They seem to have all the acknowledgements done now appart from one on our list, perhaps when they have caught up and sent out all the acks they will get on with the actual processing!?

 

Does anyone know if the DIAC are still keeping to their word of 10 days for a case officer?
