My oh is an instrument technician but we seem to be having problems finding out any areas that we could look at. Are there any companies that are known for sponsoring people in my oh position. There are loads of recruitment companies looking for skilled workers in this field for sites both in Australia and offshore. Unfortunately it is an industry that I know almost nothing about but I hope the above will help you to get started. Use one of the penny-a-minute phone call providers and start by ringing the companies, I would suggest. If they say, "Oh we use recruitment agents and don't do direct recruiting ourselves," ask for the name, address and phone number of the recruitment company and preferably a contact name there too, I suggest. Which visa are you hoping to get, though? Is Hubby's job on the MODL and would you qualify for the skilled 136 visa? Good luck with your search. If so then we think that my hubbys job gains us 60 points (hopefully). We have filled in online forms for a 136 skilled visa and have enough points on them. Will have a look at the sites you listed. Finding this all very confusing at the moment and dont know where to start. Can you point us in the right direction from here?? Guest surfersi Posted March 28, 2007 Share Posted March 28, 2007 I only have an idea in WA, south of perth you have Rockingham and Kirawwa?? where the main focus of the chemical insdustry. Depending on the type of analysis you have experience, it may well be tranferable to the mining industry. You have a far greater oppurtunities in the that sector in WA.
