Guest spock
Hi I could apparently get 5 bonus points for my skills assessment because of my German language skills. How do they know I'm on the level? Can they assess this? Do I get to chat with someone? Or do they require certificates? Because I haven't got any. I don't think having a certificate means you can really speak fluently anyway. Besides which it's been a while since I used it and I'm getting rusty. Does anyone else have any experience of this?

Can they assess this? Either sit for a NAATI test, or prove that you have been awarded a degree in a course conducted in the German language. The degree needs to be equivalent to an Australian bachelor's degree (any discipline) or above. If I'm not mistaken, this is explained in Booklet 6.
