yes ive started to get things together, just not sure how "in depth " to go with formulas etc,ive not been to college since 1985,except for 16th edition.do you know if the d.o.l motor is single or three phase?and do you have to learn the disconnect/connect process in your head ,ive read somewhere that they give you the list on the day as a check off list

Hi Dick

If you go onto "Britishexpats "site, under electricians . there is loads of info bout what is expected.

A guy called Steve O, is a great source of info. Hope that helps...

DOL in 3 phase and the safe disconnect is done practically and has also to be written down...

Guest Mark and Ginny

Sorry to jump in but when I did the practical, the disconnect was done from your own knowledge, not from a sheet with any advice. I don't know if this has since changed.

I hope all goes well for you guys and has Chris says if you do a search you will find loads of posts that will help.

Mark
