xTINKSx
Well - have some good news and some bad news I think. Eventually got tracking number from DHL - put it through this morning, only to find the destination of the medical reports was to LONDON!!!! Phoned DHL who indeed confirmed that they were on their way to High Commission Australia House. Now call me stupid but it plainly said on the medical forms that they had to be returned to Sydney CBD. Anyhow, I called Australia House and they said well at least they have them in their hands. One of the chaps there is going to go down and look for them (they apparently arrived at 10.30 this morning) and should be able to process our meds from this end. Has anyone ever done this before? What happens - do Aus House authorise the visa or do they have to send them on physically to Australia. Any info would be gratefully received. ooh forgot to mention - I paid for them to be DHL'd to Australia but at this stage Im past caring. lol The saga goes on............. watch this space. Guest annemarie and brian
hi tinks, i think they get looked at by a specialist to see if ok and then they inform the visa people if they are ok to go ahead to give the visa. if my agent is right. annemarie p.s dont worry to much least they are in the right hands. Guest Gollywobbler
Hi xTINKSx There is a procedure which permits meds clearance to be done in London as long as there are no queries about the meds. My guess is that your meds will be cleared in London in order to save time and to avoid the processing backlog in Sydney. I think that Oz House and the Panel Doctor have between them pulled themselves together enough to stop wasting any more time with this. If Oz Hpuse have not insisted that this Panel Dcotor may not get involved in further Australian meds until her own medical problems are sorted, they must be barking. They have companies who read this forum and feed back to them. Hopefully my comment will be seen and acted upon. Cheers Gill
