Sponsorship & Visa Questions

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Has anyone out there had any luck with employer sponsorship and/or the following types of visa: Employer Sponsored, Regional Sponsored, Temporary Business (Long Term) or Skills Matching using the skills matching database.

Also, if anyone has experience of a sponsorship agency, is there one they would particularly recommend?

Cheers, :D

Hi,

I have been sponsored by a company called Nurseworldwide and got the job, i have done lots of little courses and have an NVQ level 2 and 9 years experience. All we done was do a search on google on the internet for sponsorship in australia adding your job description in the search too. When we did mine it came up with 3 different companies and i could have got a job with another company too so it worked well for me. All you do is email where it tells you too and attatch a copy of your CV or as they call it out there your Resume and they will them get back to you to tell you if you have enough qualifications of what they require. Make sure you add everything to every small bits and bats you have done and training as everything will go for you, even trainng you may think is too little or silly to put on it. The company who i have got the job with then emailed me my visa application forms after my telephone interview at 1.15am lol so be prepared, and my job offer and they told me what parts of the visa form to fill out and all we are awaiting for now is the visa which is due any day got 6 month back log though. We did all our medicals too etc. I really hope this helps and if you need any more info dont hesitate to post on here as i read this forums regular.

Thanks for your reply. Your comments are very encouraging.

I managed to find several agencies using google that specialise in finding sponsors, although I didn't do an occupation specific search. My background is mechanical engineering (draughtsman).

However, my wife's background is medical like yours. She is a senior HCA with an NVQ3 so it might be worth her trying the same outfit you used.

Thanks again for your help.

Cheers :D

Your wife would probably get sponsored with the same company i have which is Nurseworldwide as she has her NVQ3, I have my NVQ2 but did Homecare Supervisor when i worked with an agency so have some experience there. Nurseworldwide seem very good and they will send you all your forms and tell you what to do every step of the way, i had a telephone interview at about 1.15am due to their time in oz so had to be prepared but it wasnt as bad and long as i expected and was made very welcome to the company. They told me everything i needed to know and do and what parts of the application forms to fill in, i got them all sent to me via email so all i had to do was print them off and fill them in. If you need any info or numbers at all please do not hestitate to pm me or post here i will give you as much help as i can. I also have details of another company i tried whilst waiting to hear from the one i will be with when visa is through. They wanted me too so if you want details for both then i can give you them both, just let me know.

OK Lynne, Thanks once again. I will bear that in mind as I'm sure there will be lots of questions as we go along.

Cheers,
