Do you need to resit your driving test in oz

I need your advice once again!!

 

When you move to OZ are your Uk driving licences valid? someone told us we would need to resit our test:arghh:

 

Any help and advice is much appreciated thank you for taking the time to read my thread.

just the driving test theory. your license is ok. i think you can drive for three months before you have to take the test. linds x

Hi,

Not sure if it changes from state to state, but here in NSW you only need to have an eye test & no driving test & must apply for your aussie licence within 3 months

In Melbourne it is just a case of changing your license. Hey Crystalrose how are things, glad the Perth move is moving along with no hiccups:)

Hi we are in Perth, been here 5 days and we got our driving licences, only had to do eye test, thank God!!!!

There is no test written or practical in QLD ,you just take your uk licence into a dept of transport shop within 3 months of your arrival, fill in a form ,show proof of id ,have a piccy taken and buy your licence ,you can buy 1,3 or 5 yr ones.
