Guest sar74h Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 I was wondering if anyone knows about, or has used alliance health nursing agency? I am due to qualify in Feb 09 with a diploma in adult nursing, and went to and expo called 'Emmigrate' at aintree racecourse in liverpool last week and got talking to the woman who owns the Alliance company and she made promises that if i went over newly qualified, she could supply sufficient training in cannulation and IV's etc.. and during my first weeks on shift she would buddy me up with suitable mentors to ensure i settled well. I was wondering if this sounded feesable? I dont want to go there and be plonked in at the deep end!!Im up for a challenge but do realise i would be accountable! I would be going on a working holiday visa (a holiday sounds like just what i need after slogging my guts out on these finals!!) but she reassured me that other newly qualifieds had taken this route. i understand that experience is beneficial and im gonna work on it (im going in july 09) but finding a staff nurse preceptor post for 5-6 months in this country would be completely unlikely! Thanks for your help guys!! Sarah x
