Guest 2kidsonecat Posted October 7, 2008 Posted October 7, 2008 Hi All, I applied for a skilled sponsored onshore visa 6 months ago and each tuesday eagerly await the aspc update with baited breath. The last few weeks have been very encouraging, they have on average been moving foward 4-5 weeks every week (aparently), but for the last two tuesdays its been stuck on 'paper-based applications, 14th March 2008. It's so frustrating it could drive you insane! I'm stuck in limbo, cant move foward, too scared to book a holiday or make any plans and to top it all off we still have to pay for the kids school until we have PR, we just paid a bill for almost $11000 because The Dept. of Education forgot to bill us for the last 9 months, so they wanted us to catch up with the fees in one go, so much for being billed quarterly! Can anyone shed any light on what the deal is with the ASPC? Do they go hell for leather on one visa class and then move on to another one to get it to catch up? The worst thing is is that you just hear absolutely NOTHING from them! they could have a standard "we are inundated with applications at the mo" letter which would probably make you feel like they haven't completely forgotten about you!!
