Have you thought about doing the visa app yourself?

I know many people prefer to use an agent and good luck to them, but the whole process is expensive enough without coughing up nearly £2K more for the services of an agent IMO.

I have found that the online e-visa app was very straight forward, as too was the skills assessment. Again, I acknowledge that some cases can be more complicated and that I am generalising. But, if you feel that you can do it yourself, then give it a go, as if you get stuck, there is always someone on here to provide the solution.

Good luck.

Howard.

No, no,no please please please, don't do it, seriouly don't use them they are awful to say the least, check out the treads on Thinking Australia, most coments are bad, few are good, we had a very bad experience with them, don't be taken in by Daryll as so many are. pm me if you want details can't say too much openly as it will be removed for liable!!! Be aware he and liz are NOT registered migration agents, although they do employ agents, they seem to go through an alarming amount of agents.

Can't comment on Thinking Australia, but my advice would be speak with a couple of good migration agents and see what they recommend. Most people will tell you that getting your trade/profession recognised is the most difficult part and if your visa application is likely to be straight forward think about doing it yourselves and save the money for the move. If it's not straight forward ask for some advice from Gill or some of the others on this site that are clued up with the different visa options. Then if you would still prefer to use an agent after that make sure they are MARA registered and recommended by others. Don't sign up to anything or part with your money until you are sure what you are doing. Good luck!
