Hi First thing Resume is longer than a CV -- it includes examples where possible of work or jobs. Where possible attach references from clients / employers / customers etc basic layout not much different .. see sample below The next thing /tip try to make sure there is no jargon or abbreviation on the document that would not be the same in Australia as in UK RESUME OF YOUR NAME Address Phone CAREER OBJECTIVE This is a short sentence which outlines your career goals – what you are trying to achieve. REFERENCE EXTRACT A section from one of your written references which comments on your work performance and character. EMPLOYMENT SKILLS Technology Computer Software Typing Speed Office Equipment Marketing Outline subjects studies in courseCommunication Outline subjects studies in coursePersonal Optional EDUCATIONAL DETAILS Day/Month/Year Educational Institution (recent to past) Name of Course Example. Sept 1998 - Jan 1999 Sarina Russo Schools | Australia Diploma of Business (Marketing) Jan 1997 - Nov 1997 Kenmore State High School Senior Certificate EMPLOYMENT HISTORY Day/Month/Year Position(recent to past) Name of Company Example. 3 Jan 1998 – 30 June 1999 Commercial Cleaner ABC CLEANING SERVICE PTY Mopping Use of Industrial Polisher Cleaning of Public Areas 25 April 1996 – 20 Dec 1997 Sales Assistant FASHION LIMITED Customer Service Sales Merchandising Cash Register Operation General Cleaning PERSONAL INTERESTS This could be sporting, social, or cultural interests. REFEREES Name Company Position Phone Number (Note: Try to include professional referees where possible - someone that can comment on your work performance.) Hope this helps Bev :notworthy:

The Flinns Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Hi angiebabe I signed up to SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site, where you can complete an online resume. I just copied that format into a word document and had the perfect aussie resume. I have had two job offers on the back of it. :jiggy: Howard.
