Love your job or hate it? and what would you like to be.

I hate being a sparky even though I am on the estimating side now, it’s like being a glorified labourer half the time…would loved to have been a fireman.

I am very sad, I LOVE my job! I am a teacher of Year 3 children (7/8 year olds) and it's the perfect job for me! If I could do anything else I think it would be a racing car driver.

Love my job as a nurse, couldn't do anything else now...but if I HAD to I would be a receptionist (I like the idea of wearing smart clothes and chatting to customers all day) How shallow am I (lol) or work in a stables or a dogs home.

Right now I think IT is the best career I could have ever chosen! But only because it's on the Skilled Occupations List!

Seriously I don't love it, but neither do I hate it. It pays well for what I do & since this is my third career (Social Worker & Teacher in previous lives!) I don't think I can actually think of a fourth career I'd like to try other than full-time mum.

Definitely not too late to re-train OH works for fire service in Scotland - not a firefighter but he was being encouraged to re-train & he's over 40 - I think like Oz the upper age limit is 45 now.

And you could earn a load of money on the side as a sparky still - most of them do something on their days off.

Like my job but would love to work in the airport - either at check in (sending people off on their hols), or at the immigration desk.

I love my job here. More than when I was a RN in the UK. Always wanted to be a teacher so am going to retrain and combine the two and become a clinical educator!

in the UK i was a Financial Adviser, when i emigrated i trained to be a Migration Agent, I absolutely love my job as I can help people change their lives completely. I love calling people to tell them they have passed their skills or their visa has been granted.

If i didnt do this though i would love to work with horses or dogs

I work with the elderly and I do like it, but seriously need a change. I've done lots of things including Vet nurse, customer service and sales rep. I regret that in my teens I didn't finish my nursing training. I regret that in my 20s I was talked out of being an airline stewardess (sorry brain freeze, I can't think of the more PC name it now has).

If I could do anything now I'd be a regular writer for a magazine with my own column. :jiggy:

Have to make do with ad feature writing at present. :nah:

I am going to start my cleaning job in a weeks time and I hate it already! I would have loved to have been a Crime Scene Investigator working in Forensics or a hairdresser, or an FBI Agent, or working or NASA. I think I watch far too much telly!

I am currently a Performance Coach for RAC here in Blightly, I really dont like it as I have to spend my time motivating people and I have a job to motivate myself to even get to work!!

If I could have my dream job it would be as a presenter on TV. As I cant........Id would like to have been a nurse (midwife) and even considered hairdressing!

To be honest, I would sweep the roads as long as it paid the bills, put food on the table and the sun shone whilst doing it!!

I work on my own selling memorial headstones. I dont mind it cos you get to talk to some lovely people. Sometimes it can be hard when children have passed away or if a death has been tragic.

It can get a little lonely and boring but thats why I am always on here.
