I paid £1500 for a VETASSESS practical??

Hey everyone,

I was told i would find out if my application was successful to Australia in November. Last week my agent called and told me that my TRA was not being accepted so i needed to pay £1500 asap for a place on the VETASSESS practical in October in Glasgow. The amount of £350 which i had paid for TRA was deducted from the VETASSESS amount which was £1850. Is this normal? My agent is a bit fluffy on the reason why TRA was refused. I told my agent i couldn't pay £1500 just like that he told me i could take it out of my savings for Australia. I paid it but this doesn't seem fair. I was refused a place in the February practical. Can anyone shed light on this? Thanks

£1500 THAT DOES SOUND A BIT STEEP

AS YOU CAN SEE BELOW WE PAID £695 FOR PRACTICAL IN JULY

my O/H is a mechanic and has done the vetassess Which was $600 for paper based and then $1500 for practical which worked out at £283 and £755

Maybe your agents are charging you for their part too

just wondering have you got £ and $ muddled up?

 

as you say you paid £1500 for the practical but did you mean $1500

 

as $1500 seems to be what most people pay

Sounds to me like ur agent has made a mistake and thought u could do TRA when infact u need to do vetassess (because I think if fail TRA u don't get ur money back).

 

Also think u are probably too late to get on the October dates as the closing date for applications was 15 September.

 

I believe the next dates for Vetassess are February.
