OMG Time to get my skates on!!!

Hi poms just a little advice please....

 

Well I feel like it’s all starting to fit into place!! ACS passed visa online application sent and then the long wait. Our agent has sent us a letter stating it should take approx 7 months now. This is when reality hit home. OMG got to do so much but where do we start?? I have so much to sort and sell and 7 months isn’t as long as you think!! Anyone got any advice on where to start. :wacko:

We don’t want to put house on market yet with the property prices falling, we are going to wait to do meds and police checks when CO asks for them. We look round the house and know what we are taking but when do we get shippers quotes, which shipping company to use. When do we book dog shippers, again which dog movers to use?? we can't decide whether to take my horses?? OMG this is no longer a distant dream this is real and we need to get my skates on any advice from people who are further down the line would be much appreciated. :spinny:

Hi Sam

You are right that 7 months soon flys by. I wouldn't start booking things until you have definately got the visas in your hand you don't want to be tempting fate. In regards to the dog make sure that your vet knows you are going to Oz as you don't want him/her to get the annual booster with lepto.

I would start getting quotes for everything now so that as soon as you get the golden ticket you can get things moving straight away. I am not sure which state your heading but quarantine usually has a waiting list so find out what this is and make allowances.

Thanks Kate, we told the vets about the dogs and our vet is registered with DEFRA so that is cool, I have always wanted to move to Gold Coast but now reality is hitting home I am bricking it?? Is this normal?? :arghh:

I was going to get quote's from golden arrow and petair and pss and anglo pacific do you reckon that would be enought or should I go the full hog and get more quotes??

 

I think I need to slow down a bit and chill but now the visa application has gone there is so much to do. Thankyou so much for your advice I really do appreciate it!! :notworthy:
