Guest lozzer
Hi Wonder if anyone can help. We've been told my an agency that we wouldnt have enough points to get a permanant visa. My hubby is a senior Manager in pharmaceuticals (been there 9yrs) aged 40 & I am a AAT qualified accountant age 38 but as he doesnt have a diploma just tonnes of experience it's not looking good. Mine doesnt get the points either! So they suggeted he got himself a job offer in Oz with a good company, who would sponsor him & then we could get a 2 yr visa. After 2 yrs at this company we could then apply for a full visa. Does anyone know if this is true & how easy a route this would be? :? Thanks Loz
connaust
Hello there, Not sure how easy it would be with your preferred direct pathway but your other half can get an Oz qualfication offshore through recognition of prior learning RPL. If other options not available study pathway is a possibility see http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/880/index.htm Further, if a couple, one studies the other gets pt work rights without needing to study, but if post grad university the other half gets ft work rights Cheers, Andrew Smith Australian International Education Centre AIEC Cert IV WPA, B.
