Turbulent tmes in the economy, Cameron seems to have the run on Gordy, Not long left now for the Old Bush in USA, and Kevin Rudd was on B105 this morning having a sneaky little smooze with Camilla. (Not Charles's bird, a different Camilla) Man U are winning again, Australia are certain their gonna stuff us again next year in the Ashes, and Manly are going to Storm to victory on Sunday. BUT ? I may be totally wrong, and if I am I know for sure there are plenty of people on here who will absolutely destroy this post and slaughter me. I hope I'm a decent sort of chap, not wishing to upset anyone Well My point is I seem to be seeing a lot more posts than before on here from Brits, either returning or depressed or disillusioned with life in Australia. ?? The Poll on here a few weeks ago which was an excellent idea and far more relevant and useful than sausage, quickly seemed to vanish and nothing more has been added. Guest Sam&Si Posted October 4, 2008 Posted October 4, 2008 Hello, I think the problem is that it's tough times everywhere financially and possibly when things get really difficult some peoples natural inclination is to return 'home' - they might be skint but at least they're in familiar surroundings. For me I'm just generally disillusioned all over, politicians seems to be making things up as they go along, I feel/made to feel guilty about global warming, the pressure to eat healthy is costing a fortune, gun crime, have cut down on smoking by 95% but when I do smoke the 5% I'm a social outcast.......the list is endless! Life seemed so much simpler even 10 years ago! Right, thats my random rant over! Cheers
