Guest angela k Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi my husband has been offered a sponsered visa with carpet call. Are there any fitters that are or have worked for them. There warehouse is in loganlea, Brisbane and we have to look for property to rent no more than 15km away. we have been looking at redland bay and areas around there. Any info or advice would be great!!!.:jiggy:
countrybumpkins Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Angela Just wanted to say hi. My hubby is going to be working for carpet call in Melbourne. We're hoping to be over around Jan/Feb. Trouble with the agent is they seem so laid back (almost horizontal!) that they don't really give too many details and timescales. Very, very exciting though!! Just wanted to say good luck with it all:jiggy: Donna
Guest angela k Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Donna, Great to hear from a fellow carpet call sponser!!. Is your husband called Jason and was his work checked by a fella called James. if so that was my hubby!!!. We are looking to go to Brisbane but are having abit of trouble with house at mo, so we are looking to come out april/may time. :biglaugh: Good Luck Ange
Guest Sam&Si Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Angela and Donna, You might want to ask Sarah (Donovan) who is one of our Wanted Down Under stars (on telly again last night), her husband is a carpet fitter, he might know? Cheers
countrybumpkins Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Angela Yep that's us!! we did suspect it was you as Jason was with your hubby on Wednesday. I know what you mean about selling your house it's slightly stressful! I wouldn't be suprised if ours is still on the market when we go (although i hope not !) I'm hoping that the 3 others going to Melbourne carpet call will now come forward so we can all share info. Do you have any children going with you? We have 2 sons aged 8 & 6 and a 3 year old daughter all very excited!!
Guest angela k Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi Donna, Yeah we have 2 girls 6 & 3. I am slightly worried about how they will settle with heat, schools etc... but no doubt they will take it with a pinch of salt, i must admit i am terrified as i am worried about spiders, plus we have never been to oz and i hope it is going to be what i imagine. You only live once and you dont know unless you try. ange:yes:
