Hiya Ang

Used to swim at the leisure centre at Sunderland when I used to compete.

Love life over here, my kids have settled really well, went fishing on Saturday hired a boat and caught a few fish, we would never do that in England.

Yesterday went to Movie world (again) as it is only one junction from where we live which is a real bonus.

The weather is good a bit chilly on a night and morning but it soon warms up.

Hi Sarah that is the life my husband dreams of (he loves fishing) actually thinks he is quite good at it. Like you say unless you are barmy (my o/h is) you dont fancy fishing here...its always grey. lol

Hi

We are from Linthorpe, Middlesbrough. Hoping to move to Perth. Applied for 175 visa Jan but have heard nothing yet.:skeptical:

Hope everything goes well for you.

Best wishes Ali and Mal.

Hi ali ,Hi mal, We're from Sunderland, We are just at the beginning of the waiting game and Im not known for my patience lol... just think it will be worthit in the long run, and from the sounds of it you are more than half way there if you applied in Jan. I keep looking at peoples messages where the say things like, sent this off in jan. got this back 15th Jan meds Feb 3rd etc. and try work out a rough guide of time, you'd be surprised, some come back quicker than others. is the 175 p/r visa, if so they seem to take a little longer, but once you have it, you have it for good. Good luck kid:spinny: Ang x

Hi Ang

My OH is from Durham. We are in Mount Martha/Mornington and have 3 boys (nearly 7), 4 and 2.

Let me know if I can be of some help.

Deb xx

Hiya Deb, We origionally looked at mornington, it looked really nice there, but it worked out an hour from o/h work place (didn't look that far on the map..lol) How are your boys setteling into school life, im a bit worried about my little lad, he'll be 8 in September he is not looking forward to the move, and I get little guilt pangs from time to time, he's very close to my mam & dad, did you have any probs like that? p.s whats point cook, hoppers crossing and that rough area like? I understand it is probs miles from you but any little *** bit would be welcome. Ang x

Anyone relocating to the Gold Coast, if you need any help securing you short/long term accommodation pm me. We relocate people often from the UK and are now breaking into the NZ market, so will be morel than happy to help. Any one going to Brisbane area I would recommend Cal N Gary @ Brisbane relocations they have helped lots of people relocate and are lovely people to deal with.

Haloa Briggy,

You usually find where ever you go you get mistaken for Geordie, like when you book your flights, they assume you are flying from Newcastle Ha HA (na which evers cheaper Teeside OR Newcastle). Why did you decide on the Gold coast? we didnt have a choice O/H offered a job in Melbourne, but secretly I fancied Gold coast or Pearth. Ang x

We went there on hols last year, just fell in love with the place although we dont want to be in the city, so we are leaving our options open for gold coast upto sunshine coast, just go where the jobs are for OH. And the weather is brill all year round. Just up my street:)))

We have rellies that live in Geelong Melbourne, but to much hassle for them to sponser us so are doing state sponsership for Queensland. Auntie retired a long time ago.

Nice to chat with ya hun, Briggyxxx:))):spinny::spinny:

Thanks for ear bending your son for me, im sure you remember what it is like to go somewhere that you dont really know, but its an adventure lol... I'll watch for your post. Thanks Celia. Ang x
