Linda Fletcher 2 Posted July 11 Hi, interested to hear thoughts on shipping companies anyone has recently used to ship furniture/belongings from the UK to the Sunshine Coast, QLD. We will be relocating in October this year. Have previously used Pickfords (full container) but found them to be expensive. Positive and negative experiences appreciated. Johnny Kash 157 Posted July 11 For smaller amounts Sevenseas Movecubes are excellent and good value. You can fit a surprising amount in them as long as youre prepared to pack it yourself. Part/full containers - We shipped a larger amount moving mums stuff over here and used John Mason. Overall very good and reasonably priced, but a couple of breakages on the way over - most of the stuff was packed immaculately but bizarrely they hadnt packed two glass tv stands that well in the UK and they arrived smashed to bits. Dont go with shippers insurance, would recommend you use a specialist - highly recommend Letton Percival, they dealt with above claim efficiently and fairly Good luck ! 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

At this stage we really don’t know how much furniture will make the move over with us, but are more interested in the quality of packing, customer liaison/service etc as we know it makes life so much easier and less stressful if you have confidence in the company you are dealing with. InnerVoice 1,266 Posted July 12 I used PSS International and they were superb from start to finish as well as being very competitive on price, but that was 12 years ago now. I also used Letton Percival for insurance, but fortunately didn't need it. Australian Citizen since 2007 | Returned to the UK 2008-2011 | Lived in Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns. calNgary 9,292 Posted July 12 We used Crown Relocations twice to send stuff over here from the UK. We liked them as its Crown here too so no sub contractors should anything go wrong, thankfully they were excellent both times and i wouldnt hesitate to use them again.
