LynG 0 Posted Tuesday at 05:34 Hi, does anyone have any experience with obtaining the carer visa?? The information on the home affairs website is very confusing. It states it takes seven years to process, however what I need to know is well I get a bridging visa to bridge the gap for the seven years??? And if so will this bridging visa allow me any working rights??

Bear in mind the department states it will take at least seven years, so it is likely to be longer. wrussell 2,285 Posted Wednesday at 07:40 'Carer' is one of the more difficult visa applications to have granted in the first instance. There are various strategies available that are not obvious, even on a close reading of the regulations and policy, that improve the prospects of success and in many cases offer an alternative visa pathway. I advise all those who plan a DIY carer application to consult one of the registered migration agents who posts on this forum for technical advice about the problems that could arise.
