The Voice Referendum

Yikes! This thread is becoming really heated. I feel that everyone should be more generous with their understanding and not delve too much into semantics.

Personally, I really don't give a toss which way it goes. Strikes me as a completely irrelevant action designed to split the country. I'd boycott it.

Really anyone who thinks it is pointless or designed to devide us MUST VOTE NO.

If you aren't strongly in favour you should vote No.

Just get a postal vote, write something like "this is pointless" across it, and send it back.

you've filled it in so they can't fine you.

Exactly, turn up for the sausage sizzle, draw a big willy on the form - job jobbed.

They don't fine you for not voting, they fine you for not turning up.

The pinnacle of Aussie BBQ!

Helped a mate out for their Bunnings Sausage Sizzle.  It was perfect weather, sliced 20kg of onions and cooked god knows how many of kilos of sausage!  Made over $2.5k profit for their charity👍

Well it was continuing the theme of sausages. On the subject of which, for the first time ever there was no sausage sizzle at the polling station when I went to vote in last year's Federal election, so I've registered for a postal vote this time. What's the point of turning up in person if you're not going to get a democracy sausage?!

Just spoil your ballot paper. This is obviously a distraction to take your eyes off something more important they don't want you to be thinking about. Sleight of hand these labour governments.

It shouldn't be that hard for people to make their mind up.

It is a multiple choice question YES or NO.

At least informal is not a Yes i suppose.

I wouldn't call it a sausage.  Not even 60% "meat".  A proper pink slime job.

There is a lot of chatter that Jacinta Price will be Australia's next Prime Minister.

And our first indigenous PM. She certainly is very impressive.

Surprised there's that much interest here. The few Aussies I'm in touch with here don't care, and anyone who does care can get a postal vote. Going to London and queuing up just sounds daft!

If a sausage is made of beef is a poor relation to a pork one. Thst said when you're starving a Bunnings snag hits the spot.

2.5% of Australians were born in China.

Perhaps we should poll them and see if 80% of them would like their own voice to parliament too.

The CCP would love it

What a ridiculous and ignorant argument
