Purpose of Occupation List

I have below questions:

1. When you see the list of occupation list, it SHOWS each occupation and to what visa it qualifies to....so then...what's the purpose of the occupation lists? Sorry, it may appear a very basic question. 

2. The occupation that best suits me is:

131112 Sales and Marketing Manager

however its assessment, among many requirements, also requires to include some information on occupation's reporters/subordinates and even subordinates' subordinates. The issue is that I in my role I have no reporter but otherwise tasks match the best. Can you provide some thoughts on this?

It's often thought that Australia is crying out for new migrants.  That's not true.  Australia has much the same level of unemployment as the UK and other European countries, so the government restricts migration.   It doesn't want to accept migrants who will struggle to find a job, or take jobs away from the local population. At the same time, there is a shortage of skilled workers in certain industries so Australia is actively seeking migrants with those skills.

I had a look at the occupation you listed.  The duties including "directing" an organisation's strategies.  I read that to mean you are not doing sales and marketing tasks: you are at a senior level, making the decisions and forming policies, and therefore you'd have a team of people who actually carry out those policies and strategies.

In which case this is unlikely to be the best match for you.  Take a look at Marketing Specialist or similar.

I did, Paul, however Marketing Specialist totally focused on "advertising" while mine is different. Can I share my CV or JD if you are willing to look into it and suggest accurate occupation?

Misa, on the occupation question, I understand that a occupation must be on list for it to be considered for immigration however I want to what are differences between DIFFERENT/NUMBER OF LISTS and how they compare with each other - I could not find any relevant link/information of official website. Can you please help me with this either by sharing the insight you have or referring to somewhere online where this information is available?

There are some skills which are only required in the short term, while Australia trains its own population in those skills.  These are on the STSOL list.  If your occupation is on that list only, you cannot migrate to Australia.  You can only come and work on a short-term contract.  

Then there are skills which are needed for the medium to long-term (MLTSSL).  If your occupation is on that list, you can work on a short-term contract or possibly migrate permanently.

If you wish Paul to look at your CV and provide advice, you need to book a consultation with him and pay him his fee. 

To be honest, if you are serious about migrating, you should book a consultation with an agent like Paul.  It can be over the phone or email.  It is the only practical way to find out if you are eligible.

Occupations on the STSOL provide access to 190 and 491 visa, so do offer the opportunity for permanent migration provided you can find a state or territory to nominate you.
