Hands Morgan 1 Posted April 1 I am due to move to Darwin with my four children in June, and a concern the children have is are there any football teams for them to join for current age groups 13 and 10, I wish this was my only concern!! My 13 year old has played at at a high standard in the UK, and wants to get playing straight away. Any recommendations and advice on how the leagues work would be very much appreciated. Kind regards, Stacey
Quoll 6,112 Posted April 1 (edited) Assume you mean soccer? Be careful, "football" means different things in different states. Soccer not quite as important here but it looks like Darwin has a few clubs https://www.clubsofaustralia.com.au/files/soccer---football/clubs-in-northern-territory/0/0.html?s_type=s?s_type=s Edited April 1 by Quoll
Parley 7,356 Posted April 2 Darwin is an AFL town so if you ask about football teams there that is what you will be directed to. I'm sure there are soccer teams around too. It is very popular at junior level as not perceived to be as rough as AFL by the parents. 1 Buy a man eat fish. The Day, Teach Man, to lifetime. - Joe Biden. Eera 339 Posted April 2 yes, there's a junior league; football is increasingly growing in appreciation in Australia, you can find the details here: https://www.footballnt.com.au/# The football referred to in the link is soccer rather than AFL or rugby. 1 insta #tabradders Fine art landscape and portrait photography.
