What on earth is going on.?

Should we be worried?

The US media loves to get hysterical over nothing.   Did you know that the US sent at least 10 spy balloons over China in the last year?   All countries do it.   Of course, because of the media hysteria over the Chinese balloon, the US government is now trying to reassure people by shooting things out of the sky, which last week would have gone completely unnoticed.  Silly.

As for the Ohio train derailment, why is it a surprise that hazardous chemicals are carried by freight train? That's normal, too, and sometimes there will be accidents.

So all totally normal?

Do you really believe that just because China claim so?

US has denied it. Don't be so gullible to believe Chinese propaganda.,

Apparently, the other 3 objects shot down were not balloons.

As for the Ohio chemical train.  Officials say that the air is safe to breath.🤔

Some might think massive ecological disasters are "normal", I beg to differ.

Actually it's not that I believe Chinese propaganda, it's that I find it totally unbelievable that the US hasn't been sendng balloons, drones or whatever.  All countries do surveillance of other countries, of one kind or another.

Let's put it this way.  Things happen.  The Ohio derailment is not the first accident which released toxic vapours.  Heck, we've had at least two factory fires in Melbourne since I moved here, where a wide area had to be evacuated due to toxic fumes.   The Chinese balloon got noticed, and now the US govt is going overboard to reassure the public by shooting down anything that moves.

If you're thinking they're all connected in some weird Twilight Zone way, then you're beyond hope.

It is done from international waters.

Invading another country's airspace is not normally done.

As with most things, you seem to be easily convinced.

I get that there's an opportunity at play here. But let's not de-consider American paranoia, which is and always has been off the scale. They're unhinged, always have been. The fact that we're in bed with them continues to be a worry.

What is worrying to me is when posters lap up Chinese propaganda as if it is Gospel truth.

The point is that if they think they can get away with it, any country will routinely invade another country's airspace. The Gary Power's incident didn't even stop the US, they just switched from the U-2 to the much faster SR-71 to avoid being shot down. They only stopped those missions once they were getting equally good intel from satellites.

What I find even more worrying is when posters lap up crazy theories spread by American megalomaniacs.
