moving back to uk who do you recommend for sending money back with

hi all getting close to moving back to uk was wondering if any one as had good or bad experiences with moving  savings back to uk getting a little nervous with this part as need to do it on line and with all the scams around these days also can you talk to these companys first as most want you to set up an account first before you can talk to any one

Many members here have used Wise, for many years (it used to be called Transferwise).   

I notice that a company called Send is now sponsoring the site so it would be worth looking at them, too. 

I don't think you need to be concerned about having to set up an account with them first.  They are both reputable firms.

We're heading back next year and plan to use Wise. We've been using them for several years to send money in both directions. Opening an account is straightforward enough.

Have you told the receiving bank in the UK what you're planning to do? The last thing you'll need to happen is your account being frozen for suspicious activity.

We moved back 18 months ago and used Send. (Dylan Wooster 0756195710).  We were very pleased with the exchange but be aware you need to show where your funds have come from.  We’ve also used them since we’ve been back.  There are no fees and the rate is always competitive.
