I had my ceremony on May 23 (the Monday after the election) and we didn't receive our certificates as the change in government. I am still waiting on my certificate to arrive but need to apply for my passport (have a trip home planned in September) but obviously can't apply without my certificate number. Has anyone else experienced this delay? I have spoken to the Passport Office (no help), Home Affairs (no help). My local MP (Albury NSW) has been some help, but surely someone can provide me with my number or tell me if they have been shipped? Getting desperate! rammygirl Posted June 15, 2022 Share Posted June 15, 2022 Similar happened to us (change of minister) our MP was the most help. As soon as it arrived at the local immi office they express (same day) posted it to us. I think as well as the number for the on line application we had to actually show the certificate to the post office for verification so you do need the actual thing.
