burmtra
Hi, My parents are looking to apply for the 143 visa, does anyone know if there is a minimum age they need to be to submit the application? My mum is 66 in May and Dad is 68? Thanks

wrussell
Paul is correct. For an 'aged ' parent visa that has certain advantages at least one parent must be of pension age.

Many Thanks Yes you are missing something. Applications currently being processed have taken 5 years (so they applied in 2016). There has been an absolute flood of applications since then and processing has slowed down, so there are now thousands waiting in the queue. Anyone applying now is at the end of that queu and will be waiting 15 years or so Edited January 28, 2022 by Marisawright
burmtra
Oh 15 years is a long time, suppose you have to way up the pros and cons, $5k application fee and $100k after not too bad
