Rija
Hi, We had our medicals for 482 visa Australia on 7th January and my husband's urine shows blood traces. They submitted the results to immigration already and when I checked the immi account it says my husband need further assessment by Bupa medical services. What am I supposed to do next? Is it going to delay the whole process?
Ausvisitor
Well blood in urine is a possible indicator in of a number of issues, but it can also just be an infection. So they will want more tests to.make sure it isn't something that would incur heavy Medicaid costs for Australia. It will incur some delay as you will need extra tests, but whether it is a long delay depends on how quickly you can get the extra medical investigation done
Rija
Are they going to advise further tests or can we do tests on our own with any medics like GP and submit the results.
Ausvisitor
I would imagine they will tell you what tests need to be arranged and they will need to be done by the immigration panel doctors or someone they instruct

Its a been a few years now but when i was sent for ''further investigation'' it had to be with a DR they stipulated (at your cost of course). However if this is issue is new for hubby it may well be worth going to your GP to see if it is an infection and if he can be given antibiotics so hopefully it is cleared by the time you have to see one of Immi's specialists. ali
I agree, they will tell you the type of specialist. A friend had high BP when she did her medical (result of a lot of stress/losing her mum etc.,), she was sent to a cardiologist and had to undertake some tests and they then wrote a report for the medical.
