Yeah, as you say,  I think teachers in general get taken advantage of in most countries. She is open to a change of career but equally would still enjoy being a teacher in Australia. It’s a highly rewarding job and at least has a lot of purpose.

Her cousin is a manager at an early years nursery/school (don’t quote me on that ha) but maybe that may be an option for her too. I think the pay disparity is large between early years and primary/secondary though.

Its a short day in the UK too, I've not worked less than 10 hours a day in the office plus a bit in the evening and hours at the weekend in the last 20 years - but then I'm not a teacher I have a job that has real deadlines and pressures
