My partner is a HGV driver here in the UK and has been for over 20 years. From the information we have been able to gather, which is limited, we think he will not be able to transfer his HGV licence straight over and will need to resit the tests (very onoying!) From what we can make out the equivalant of an HGV licence over there is an HC licence but we are reading that you need to have held a HR licence for a year before you can move up to your HC licence which is pretty crap! So anyone else out there had any experience of this and could offer any advice it would be really appreciated, or anyone know a good driver recruitment company in that area?
