Applying Citizenship by Conferral while overseas

Hello everyone,

 

My Australian citizenship residency criteria will be met on 12th December, 2021. I plan on traveling overseas from 28th Nov 2021 till 27th Feb, 2022. So I will be submitting my citizenship application while overseas.

 

I checked the immigration portal for application process and have following questions:

 

a) It asks for the current location, if I select I am outside Australia, it asks me to select the nearest overseas citizenship processing office. So lets say I select the overseas office and there is no invitation for test while I am there, would I be able to change the processing office once I am back?

 

b) I checked the immigration portal and it asks for future travel, if I select a date in past, it does not accept it. So when I submit application on 12th Dec, 2021 I would already have left Australia on 28th November, so should I just put 12th December as departure date?
