mdesai11
Hi, I'm hoping somebody can please help. My parents applied for an 804 parent visa back in 2018. They subsequently left the country and went back to the UK. Their bridging visa expired immediately once they left and they now want to move here permanently once the border situation improves. We've been advised they will need to enter the country with an evisitor visa and then once onshore, apply for a bridging visa A using form 1005. Is this the correct approach please? Are there any risks associated with this because they want to sell their UK property before arriving in Australia? Thank you. Mez
Marisawright
It is the only approach possible. They have no valid visa, so they now have no right to enter Australia. An evisitor visa is their only way to enter Australia now. When you apply for any kind of visa, there is never a guarantee that you'll get it. So your parents are not guaranteed to get the bridging visa. An agent can advise you on the chances of success, but it won't be 100% certainty.
