Can I get a second and third year VISA?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I completed my first WHV in 2017 and did 88 days farm work.

I know I can apply for my year 2 WHV, but I now see there’s a chance of people being entitle to 3 years WHV without farm work.

Am I eligible for years 2 & 3 or just a second WHV?

The proposal for the 3 year thing hasn't been confirmed yet, so all you can get at this stage is your second year.  However I thought you had to stay in Australia and do both years at once, I didn't think you could go away and apply at a later date?

You are eligible for a third WHV if you continue to meet the age criterion and have completed 6 months of specified work whilst on your 2nd WHV. We have no idea when (or if) the proposed changes to remove the specified work component will be relaxed for follow on WHVs.
