Mr john
Wondering if I can get a home loan with a bad credit score? Is there a way out or if someone can help me out?
Parley
Probably difficult BUT if the bank is confident in the security they hold it might be possible. Say if you are buying a million dollar property and the loan is only for 60% you might get it as the bank knows they will get their money back. That is theoretical but if your bad credit is in Australia it might be hard, All you can do is apply and see how you go.
Tulip1
It will greatly depend on the nature of the bad credit. If you’ve defaulted on several loan agreements for example your chances are very poor but if you didn’t pay your £100 phone contract off five years ago when you weren’t as mature and sensible as you are now then you stand a better chance. Ken
There are lenders who specialise in lending to "non-conforming" borrowers. They charge higher fees and interest rates to cover the higher risk. You should talk to a broker to see see if this is appropriate for you.
