I've read various posts which suggests taking out insurance from separate company to the removals company, and Letton Percival has been recommended. Chocci Posted June 14, 2021 Author Share Posted June 14, 2021 Thanks Jon - I spoke to them last week and had the same question - apparently their websites are still being fixed/redesigned. Their insurance fee is 1.6% of insured value which is a lot cheaper than shipping companies own insurance. palaceboy1 Posted June 23, 2021 Share Posted June 23, 2021 We decided to insure just specific items within the shipment as we thought that a lot of our stuff was personal and probably low cost and we would have difficulty proving value of any damaged items .
