Hi,

what do you Advise when I fist get to Oz.... do you rent first or buy?

Is it hard to buy in Australia when you first get there as you won’t have any work history or credit reference.

Thanks in advance

Rent!!!  Then if you don’t like the state/territory you chose you can easily move.

Even if you are a cash buyer it is wise to rent first so that you can personally check out areas for their suitability for your particular lifestyle.  Photos on websites don't always show the reality.

If borrowing you will need to provide proof to the lender that you can service the loan - so proof of ongoing employment and income.

What sort of visa will you have?  Some visas require approval from the FIRB (Foreign Investment Review Board) before you can purchase a property and there are conditions attached to such purchase.
