When we had our house built the uplift to DG was negligible over the whole cost of the build and that was when DG was rare here. It would have cost much more for wooden floors than DG, we went for standard tiles as much easier to upgrade that later and the house was to be rented to start with. The only way I would have huge, glass floor to ceiling windows is if there was a lovely view - otherwise no.
